High intensity interval training (HIIT) is a very common trend for the majority of the participant in a fitness program, and one of the favorite type of exercise for the professionals. However, under gym situations are we doing HIIT? How we transfer the knowledge for the studies in daily practice? Who but mostly why we have or not to do HIIT? Or are we doing it right but mostly safe? In this lecture, it will be analyzed the science behind HIIT and Sprint Interval training (SIT) programs, as we used them in research studies to achieve all the know and important adaptations, we will reveal the myths that surrounding HIIT and SIT programs, and finally we will analyze the methodology that has to be followed for a real, safe and effective HIIT and SIT program in a gym settings
