Description: The global health and fitness industry has shown that high-intensity interval training, circuit training, functional fitness and small-group training are widely the most attractive and promising trends nowadays. But can real clients (who are mostly inactive and overweight or adults with obesity) do a workout that combine all those trends on a regular basis? In this workshop, the up-to-date research (including current published work by Batrakoulis and colleagues) will provide scientific evidence to support a research-based exercise training program that improves body composition, performance, health, and wellness in previously inactive, overweight adults.  A novel, time-effective, and injury-free circuit-type interval training workout and its exercise programming will be presented focused on the modifications and progressions of all fundamental movement patterns.
